PERFORMANCE COACHING & DRYLAND TRAINING

"Believe in yourself. You are braver than you think, more talented than you know, and capable of more than you can imagine, "

~ Christiano Ronaldo

Performance Coaching
(On-Ice Lessons)

Figure skating athletes will receive professional on-ice coaching in the form of Private, Semi-Private and/or Group Lessons, customized to help develop and excel technically from basic to advanced skating skills (edges, stroking, turns, etc.) and to execute the highest quality of figure skating elements (spirals, spins, jumps, etc.). As well, figure skaters have the opportunity to develop artistically with custom-designed choreographic music programs dependant on discipline and level.

Standard skating lessons are considered to be 15 minutes per lesson in length. Kevin recommends all his skaters to take at least 30 minutes (or two lessons) each lesson time for effective delivery of teaching points and development of skills. For lesson rates, please contact Kevin via email at EasyStreetSkating@gmail.com.

Dryland Training
(Off-Ice Lessons)

For any figure skater, personal off-ice training is one of the most important part of the sport. All cross-training sporting activities and figure skating specific dryland technical training should be consulted and monitored by the Professional Coach for effective developments of overall physical fitness specific to the core, strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and agility. Each dryland session is 1 to 2 hours (for Physical and Technical training).

Current dryland session offerings:

  • Daily basic warm-ups/cool-down exercises (for before/after on-ice sessions) as well as jumping and spinning technique classes.

  • Periodic and phased dryland training focusing on the core, strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and agility.
